Understanding the Location Referencing or APR​

In this video Jeff Allen with Esri will review the Linear Referencing Section of the PODS Diagram, Linear referencing tables are included to manage location referencing for pipelines using ESRI ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing tool (APR). The tables can be used as the base for managing linear referencing.

Jeff has 25 years of survey, application development, and geographic information systems experience in the energy sector. Jeff is currently working on the Natural Resources team at Esri to help grow the use of the ArcGIS platform in the pipeline industry. Esri has invested heavily a new generation of ArcGIS platform core capabilities for the pipeline industry. These capabilities include the Utility and Pipeline Data Model, the ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing extension, and a new network model. 

A certified geographic information systems professional, Jeff earned his BS in Surveying Engineering from the University of Maine.
