PODScast: PODS Beyond Data Management with Esri
This training session with demonstrations explores how pipeline operators can leverage the PODS data model beyond traditional data management. With insights from Jeff Allen and Sarah Ramirez of Esri, the presentation focuses on integrating PODS with Esri’s geospatial tools to support enterprise-wide collaboration, analytics, and decision-making. Attendees are introduced to strategies for transforming pipeline data into actionable intelligence through dashboards, mobile applications, and system-of-engagement workflows.

About me
Jeff has 25 years of survey, application development, and geographic information systems experience in the energy sector. Jeff is currently working on the Natural Resources team at Esri to help grow the use of the ArcGIS platform in the pipeline industry. Esri has invested heavily a new generation of ArcGIS platform core capabilities for the pipeline industry. These capabilities include the Utility and Pipeline Data Model, the ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing extension, and a new network model.
My roll at Esri adds strength to an already fantastic team that is dedicated to the furtherance of this existing core technology evolution strategy for the pipeline industry.
